About Freeze School
Freeze School exists to make good learning practice easy to find and easy to apply. We write about the things that actually change outcomes: how memory works, how to hold attention, which classroom tools earn their place, and why students learn more together than alone.
What you'll find here
Our Resources library covers the ground you'd expect and a bit more:
- Memory and retention — active recall, spaced repetition, elaboration, chunking, and the sleep that consolidates all of it
- Focus and concentration — study environments, time blocking, device rules, and breaks that actually restore attention
- Learning strategies — learning styles in perspective, collaborative learning, and what transfers between subjects
- Classroom technology — digital literacy, interactive learning, and a working shortlist of tools worth the setup cost
- Student productivity — the apps and routines that keep a full week from collapsing
- Beyond academics — what extracurriculars build that a timetable can't
When you're ready to put it into practice, our Freeze School Activities turn passive reading into something you actually did.
Our approach
We start from what the evidence supports and end at something you can do on a Tuesday. Where a popular technique has weaker support than its reputation suggests, we say so — a study method that feels productive and isn't is worse than no method at all.
